Psychotherapy for Anxiety and Depression
What Is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural response to a threat or perceived danger. Though it can be uncomfortable, anxiety is a part of the human experience and can help us prepare for important events, like studying for an exam or preparing for a presentation. However, living in a constant, heightened state of anxiety can bring an overwhelming feeling of dread and worry. It can cause physical symptoms like a racing heart or restlessness, and mental-emotional symptoms such as overthinking, troubles with decision-making, and self-doubt. Instead of energizing us, pervasive anxiety can often making everyday tasks feel overwhelming and unmanageable.

What Is Depression?
Depression is more than just feeling sad or unmotivated. It can feel like a constant heaviness that affects your energy, focus, relationships, and sense of self. It might show up as numbness, irritability, exhaustion, or a loss of interest in things you used to enjoy. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone, and you're not broken. Therapy offers a supportive space to untangle what you're feeling, understand where it’s coming from, and learn tools to start feeling more like yourself again.

How Can Therapy Help?
In a safe, non-judgmental space, we'll work together to explore the root causes of your anxiety and depression, identify thought patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical coping strategies that can strengthen emotional regulation and bring a sense of empowerment in your day-to-day life. In the moments when your journey feels dark and lonely, I can walk along you, holding up the light until you are able to hold it yourself.
