BEGIN YOUR WELLNESS JOURNEY.

my approach to therapy

I take a holistic and integrative approach to therapy, recognizing that no single method works for everyone. Our healing journeys are complex and deeply personal, so I draw from a range of evidence-based and experiential modalities to support your unique path toward growth, clarity, and self-compassion. Below are some of the core approaches that inform my work:

1. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT)

MB-CBT blends the practical tools of cognitive behavioral therapy with the grounding presence of mindfulness. Together, we explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected, while developing mindful awareness to help you pause, observe, and choose new responses with greater intention.

2. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT helps you shift your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions - not by trying to eliminate them, but by learning to accept them while staying committed to what truly matters to you. It's about building psychological flexibility and living a values-driven life, even in the presence of challenge.

3. Spiritual Psychotherapy

For those who are drawn to it, spiritual psychotherapy creates space to explore meaning, purpose, connection, and inner wisdom. This may include integrating your spiritual or existential beliefs into the therapeutic process - whatever your path or tradition may be.

4. Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a powerful framework that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself - like the inner critic, the protector, or the wounded child. We gently explore these parts with compassion, helping them find harmony under the guidance of your wise, centred “Self.”

5. Inner Child Work

Many of our current patterns and emotional wounds can be traced back to earlier experiences. Inner child work offers a path to reconnect with and nurture the younger parts of you that still carry pain, fear, or unmet needs - so they can feel seen, safe, and supported.

6. Gestalt Therapy

Gestalt therapy emphasizes present-moment awareness and the healing power of authentic connection - with yourself and others. Through experiential techniques like dialogue, role-play, and somatic awareness, we bring attention to what’s happening “here and now” to promote integration and growth.

7. The Gottman Method for Couples

Grounded in decades of research, the Gottman Method offers practical tools to help couples strengthen their friendship, improve communication, and manage conflict effectively. Whether you’re looking to reconnect, rebuild, or deepen intimacy, this approach supports lasting relationship health.

8. Talk Therapy

At its heart, therapy is a conversation: a safe, supportive space where you can speak openly, be heard deeply, and feel truly understood. Talk therapy allows us to explore your experiences, emotions, relationships, and patterns in a collaborative and nonjudgmental way, helping you gain insight and foster meaningful change.
